Of course the distance is a little too far for me. I'm in Maine, USA. Even Tennessee couldn't be worked out. Traveling across the USA can take weeks, not hours, like in Europe. Unfortunately, I have other priorities, family. Graduations, weddings, births, grandchild, etc. I think that's the big difference from Savage owners and *some* HD owners. I was told by a former HD friend, that it's priorities. Well, it is. And no matter how much I enjoy riding, my family still comes first. The former friend put 10,000 miles on her HD last year and I put on 3,000. No, I didn't ride as much as I would have liked. I also didn't forget that I have a family. I don't think I will ever put on as many miles as I would like. My summer schedule is already filling up and it's not even here. 2 more graduations, granddaughter's 1st birthday, step-son wants furniture moved down to PA at college he's at, step-daughter wants dad to take her to college in Colorado, etc. We get in as much riding as we can. Oh, and we have to try to fit the nice weather in on the days we can ride. Unfortunately my job is only 7 minutes from home. I can't wear jeans to work. That means getting all dressed to ride, get to work 7 min. later, change into work clothes. Do the same if I want to ride at lunch and to come home. Wed and Fri PM I pick up my 10 mo. old granddaughter from the sitter because my daughter works until 7PM and the daycare closes at 5PM. My daughter and son-in-law live out of town and the sitter is in my town. It's just easier for me to pick her up and spend some time with her. So, I need my car on Wed and Fri. My SO is doing a MC Safety course again today, so I'll be out riding alone. I prefer to ride with him, but his business seems to be taking off. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
